If we are in harvest season, then we will be able to cut and collect leaves. Then we organize them and put them in the dryer. At the request of this group we can have lunch inside the tobacco house of this plantation.
CUEVA DEL INDIO (Indian Cave)
It was home of refuge for native Indians and African slaves who fled from the Spanish colonizers. The cave has different runners but only one way is accessible for walking. Due to the damming of a river, part of the cave is only accessible by motor-boats. A guide on the motorboat show us the natural formations that look like objects and animals.
EL PALENQUE
Used by African slaves to escape their masters. A cave that leads to a valley section and impossible to find for the masters. The valley is surrounded by mountains and gave the possibility to have a functional living, hunting and harvesting because this area is very fertile.
At the entrance of the cave is a daily restaurant. A disco operates on Saturday nights.
